Darts star hits nine-darter during warm-up and gives coolest reaction possible

Darts star Krzysztof Ratajski nailed a nine-darter when warming up for his clash with Stephen Bunting in the final of the German Open – and fans loved his 'cool reaction'.

Ratajski stepped up to the oche and nailed two 180s back-to-back, before he hit treble 20, treble 19, and checked out with double 12.

The Polish star let off a small smile, while referee Kirk Bevins offered more of a reaction – laughing at what he had just seen in the warm-up.

"Absolute legend. Best kind of practice darts," one fan joked. While a second added: "Krzysztof throws the 9th dart like that during the warm-up, and Robert Lewandowski can't win against Albania!"

"To then throw zero 180s in the match itself," a third laughed. And another added: "Imagine being that good this is your reaction to hitting a nine-darter in practice!"

However, when it came time for Ratajski to step up in the game, he could only manage 42 on his opening visit.

Ratajski won his second European Tour title at the German Open, beating Bunting 8-3 in a rout.

Speaking after the clash, he said: “I have waited for this moment for four years. I am delighted. I didn’t expect it, because in the last two or three months I haven’t played well, but this weekend I played better.

“Stephen missed a few very important doubles early on. I took those legs and that gave me the confidence to play well. This win puts me into the top 16 on the ProTour Order of Merit. That was my target this year, so now I must find another target!”
