Jadon Sancho in 'regular contact' with Borussia Dortmund manager

Manchester United star Jadon Sancho has reportedly been in ‘regular contact’ with Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic amid rumours of a return.

Sancho left Dortmund for United in 2021 – with the Red Devils paying around £73m for him – but the Englishman has largely struggled at Old Trafford and looks set to depart in January amid a nasty fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag.

Dortmund are thought to be keen to bring Sancho back for a second spell and they are interested in a potential loan deal, despite some at the club raising concerns over his discipline from his first stint at the Bundesliga side.

New reports claim that Sancho and Terzic have held regular conversations and despite a return to Dortmund currently looking ‘unlikely’, it has not been ruled out, with Sancho believed to be keen to play regularly wherever he goes next.

Sancho is currently banned from all first-team facilities at United and has also attracted interest from Barcelona, who like Dortmund are considering a loan.

The 23-year-old’s future at United has been up in the air ever since boss Ten Hag came out and publicly slammed him over his poor application in training.

Sancho released a statement in response and accused the Dutchman of making him a ‘scapegoat’.

There is currently no sign of a resolution despite some of Sancho’s team-mates urging him to apologise to Ten Hag.

It is thought that the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has offered to step in and help fix the issue.

United legend Roy Keane, meanwhile, has slammed Sancho for his behaviour but feels he can still rescue his career at Old Trafford.
