Norwegian skier Henrik Kristoffersen was left seething on Saturday afternoon after watching climate activists disrupt the Alpine Skiing World Cup in Austria.

During the slalom event in Gurgl, dramatic scenes unfolded when the activists from 'Last Generation' disrupted the race by entering the course, claiming their protest was in opposition to fossil fuels. During their protest, they sprinkled orange power on the snow, with course workers and security eventually having to drag them off the snow with the race resuming minutes later.

However, one individual who was peeved about Last Generation's actions was 29-year-old Kristoffersen, who was incensed by the actions of the climate change activists.

Broadcast cameras caught the Norwegian pointing and jostling with security, clearly angry at how they had disrupted the race in Gurgl. "Henrik Kristoffersen not happy with what's going on in the crowd, look at this. These are scenes we do not want to see, and he really does want to sort it out with these climate protestors," said one commentator on Eurosport.

Another replied: "He just loves the sport so much. He's getting upset by it." And it was evident in his comments to Norway's NRK national broadcaster that Kristoffersen was dismayed by the interruption to proceedings in Austria.

"It's so disrespectful," Kristoffersen said. "Say what you want, vote and try to change things from there. But don't ruin it for people. It's completely disgusting."

And there was mixed reaction on social media to Kristoffersen's outburst. One fan on X, formerly Twitter commented: "He needs to relax and put things into perspective. Their race got interrupted. Not the end of the world. The climate activists on the other hand *is* actually trying to save the planet. No downhill skiing on a dead planet."

However, another loved witnessing the Norwegian's passion, writing: "We didn't hear you but we saw what you said (it was crystal clear) and I couldn't agree more with you @H_Kristoffersen, absolutely no respect."

A third said: "In my humble opinion! Such actions tend to have a negative impact on the image of climate activists." And a fourth commented: "yes henrik go for it."
