Oumar Niasse netted a stunning hat-trick in his debut for seventh-tier side Macclesfield.
The former Premier League player will be best remembered by fans for his five-season long stint with Everton. Niasse, 33, only managed nine goals for the Toffees in a spell which saw him sent out on loan twice and regularly demoted to the reserves.
But the nine-times capped Senegalese international has now returned with a bang – by bagging three in Macclesfield's 4-2 win over Tranmere Rovers in the second round of the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Niasse broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, pulling off a spectacular back heel from eight yards. The forward went on to play a crucial role as, with the game heading towards a penalty shootout, he converted a cut-back in the 87th before scoring a penalty two minutes later.
Everton fans were understandably left amazed at where their former striker has ended up after dropping down the football pyramid. And his goals for the Silkmen – led by Robbie Savage – reminded them of their love for the Senegalese star.

Niasse joined Macclesfield on a short term deal on November 23, having left Morecambe at the end of last season. He parted ways with Everton in March 2021 for Huddersfield Town but never made an appearance for the Terriers, before taking on a brief stint with League One outfit Burton Albion in February 2022.
