Sky Sports icon Martin Brundle photobombs snap in chaotic Las Vegas gridwalk

Martin Brundle opted to leave famous faces with more than they bargained for as the Sky Sports presenter hilariously photobombed a picture during his Las Vegas Grand Prix gridwalk.

The F1 hero added his own element to the usually chaotic gridwalk as he was distracted on his lookout for celebrities and drivers by a group of people taking a picture on the track, as Brundle upped his own iconic pre-race antics.

Whilst Brundle wandered around the track for the penultimate time this year, he let his inner thoughts win as he began people watching and commentating on those taking pictures and selfies on the grid. He said: “They seem more interested in just enjoying the grid to be honest, don’t they?”

In a flash, Brundle switched from an observer to hilariously get involved with those posing on the grid. Stopping in his tracks, Brundle said: “Let me, I’m going to photobomb that, there you go”, as he jumped into the back of the shot unbeknown to those posing.

Brundle’s gridwalks this year have been full of chaos, most notably when he attempted to speak to model Cara Delevingne at the British Grand Prix. The former team-mate of Michael Schumacher also had a tough time trying to force words out from the Hollywood big hitters on track this weekend.

The 64-year-old had to get blood from a stone whilst talking to NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal, who first left him hanging as he posed for pictures with the Red Bull mechanics and the Team Principal Christian Horner, before replying “Lewis Hamilton baby” when Brundle was finally able to ask how he was feeling ahead of the race.

Brundle was clearly thriving on the show of Las Vegas but the race itself proved to be a hit as Max Verstappen overcame a five second penalty to claim his 18th win of the season in a close battle with Ferrari’s pole setter Charles Leclerc and Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez who finished second and third respectively.
