Christian Horner lifts lid on 'serious talks' with Lewis Hamilton about joining Red Bull

The final Grand Prix weekend of the season gets underway today as the drivers head out on track for the first two practice sessions in Abu Dhabi. While the Drivers’ Championship and Constructors’ Championship titles have both been wrapped up by Red Bull, there is still plenty to place for at the final race of the year.

The main topic dominating the headlines going into Friday’s action comes from Lewis Hamilton’s camp after Christian Horner claimed that a representative from his entourage had enquired earlier this season about the possibility of joining Red Bull.

Hamilton denied any such interaction between himself and Horner, stating that he was extremely happy with Mercedes and had not considered a switch to the Milton Keynes-based team despite their on-track success in 2023.

Max Verstappen also offered his thoughts on the matter, batting off the possibility of ever teaming up with his fiercest rival on the grid, but insisting that he would be happy to do so if the opportunity arose.
