Australia have lost their Twenty20 series to India after falling 20 runs short in the fourth game of the series in Raipur on Saturday morning (AEDT).
The win stretched India’s lead in the five-game series to an unassailable 3-1 with one game to go.
In reply to India’s 9-174, the visitors could only manage 7-154 after their 20 overs.

It was a missed opportunity for Australia, having earlier snared 5-7 from the last nine balls to limit India’s final surge – and providing an attainable target and a chance to series.
Left-arm seamers Ben Dwarshuis (3-40) and Jason Behrendorff (2-32) produced a clatter of late wickets as Australia fashioned their best bowling performance of the series.
Rinku Singh (46) top-scored for India before being dismissed for the first time all series, lbw to Behrendorff to start the 20th over.
After being put in to bat, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (37) had been the early aggressor before miscuing a high catch to Ben McDermott and triggering a top-order tremble.
Shreyas Iyer (8) gave Australia debutant Chris Green his first catch before India’s dangerman, captain Suryakumar Yadav, nicked off for one, presenting Dwarshuis with his maiden T20I wicket.
Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) was regularly starved of the strike before falling victim to legspinner Tanveer Sangha (2-30).
Rinku and Jitesh Sharma (35) added 56 quick runs for the fifth wicket and threatened to put India in total command.
But Jitesh’s departure, lofting Dwarshuis to Travis Head on the boundary in the 19th over, set in motion the late collapse.
