Michelle Wie West has teased a possible return to golf, less than five months after calling time on her career.
‘Never say never,’ the 34-year-old told TMZ this week when quizzed on whether she could one day be back out on the course.
Wie West claimed earlier this year that she was relishing the chance to put her clubs in the ‘darkest corner of her garage’.
Now, though, the mother of one revealed she still finds time to play. She just no longer puts in the hard yards required to cut it on tour.
‘I definitely don’t practice, that’s for sure,’ she said. ‘I just play.’

The Honolulu native made history when, aged just 10, she became the youngest player to qualify for the USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. She played her first LPGA Tour event at the age of 12.
She turned professional in 2005 – when still only 15 – and made nearly $7million in career earnings before stepping away from the sport in July.
Wie West won the US Women’s Open back in 2014 and had four other top-five finishes in major championships. Back in 2004, she also played in the men’s Sony Open, narrowly missing the cut.
But she retired, aged 33, after failing to make the weekend at this year’s US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach. It came after the five-time LPGA Tour winner endured tough times with injury and illness.
Wie West told TMZ she now spends her time gardening and being a mother to her young daughter, Makenna. ‘I’m a mom – I don’t relax!’ she added.
