WWE SmackDown PREVIEW: Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair update, Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles

Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles

Kurt Angle’s farewell tour continues on SmackDown shortly before his scheduled retirement match at WrestleMania 35.

Angle announced that he will end his glittering 21-year career at WrestleMania when he takes on Baron Corbin on April 7 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist has been testing himself on RAW and picked up some big victories over Apollo Crews, Chad Gable as well as former TNA rival and US Champion Samoa Joe.

Now the six-time world champion will have his last ever match on SmackDown as he will take on AJ Styles for the first time in a WWE ring after their rich TNA history.

New Day over?

Kofi Kingston was denied a WWE Championship Match once more by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon last week on SmackDown.

Kingston picked up some awe-inspiring victories against Sheamus, Cesaro, Rowan, Randy Orton and US Champion Samoa Joe in a Gauntlet Match.

However, McMahon placed another roadblock in The Dreadlocked Dynamo’s path as he added WWE Champion Daniel Bryan to the Gauntlet Match.

Bryan picked up the win and sparked rage among the WWE Universe as well as Kingston’s New Day team-mates Big E and Xavier Woods who threw out the idea of quitting.

The ex-Intercontinental Champion doesn’t agree but tonight’s episode will determine the longest-reigning tag team champions’ future.

WWE Championship Match

It looks almost certain that WWE will ultimately book WWE Champion Daniel Bryan against Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania.

Kingston’s incredible underdog story that saw him overcoming unbelievable odds has earned him the backing of the entire WWE Universe.

The wrestling giants seem to have jumped the gun as they leaked a photo of the match online.

Was WWE planning on announcing the fight tonight?

Becky Lynch and Charlotte update

Becky Lynch defeated RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a Beat The Clock Challenge on RAW when all of them faced each member of The Riott Squad.

Rousey, Lynch and Charlotte will have to put their intense rivalry aside and co-exist next week as they will team up to face Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan in a Six Woman Tag Team Match.

Lynch and Charlotte will appear tonight on SmackDown, but will they temporarily put their differences aside one night after the latter assaulted The Man?
