Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered an ankle injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.<\/p>\n
Pickett’s injury occurred in the second quarter after a scramble up the middle for a 2-yard gain near the goal line.<\/p>\n
Veteran Mitchell Trubisky took Pittsburgh’s next snap, a handoff on fourth-and-goal that went for no gain.<\/p>\n
The game was tied, 3-3, at the time of Pickett’s exit. Pickett completed 7 of 10 passes for 70 yards before suffering the injury.<\/p>\n
Pickett was initially deemed questionable to return but was ruled out before the third quarter began.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Cardinals-Steelers game is currently in a weather delay due to lightning in the area. Pittsburgh announced play would resume at approximately 3:20 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
