Queensland police have charged a 19-year-old man in relation to the theft during an alleged home robbery of \u201cpriceless\u201d playing jerseys worn by NRL player Jaxson Paulo.<\/p>\n
Paulo had appealed on social media after the alleged burglary at his father\u2019s Highland Park home last week.<\/p>\n
Jaxson Paulo made his NRL debut for South Sydney in 2020, switched to arch-rivals the Roosters in 2023 before signing with Manly for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n
\u201cBetween 11pm on Nov 21 and 6am on Nov 22, an alleged break in occurred at an address in Highland Park, where a number of personal items were stolen,\u201d according to a Queensland Police media statement released on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
A 19-year-old Redbank Plains man was on November 24 charged with the break-in.<\/p>\n
He faced Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to next appear in court on December 5.<\/p>\n
Andrew Paulo, Jaxson\u2019s father, had earlier posted on Facebook appealing for the jerseys to be returned.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlease I\u2019m asking anyone in the community and the NRL community to share this post,\u201d he posted.<\/p>\n
He also wrote that the incident occurred on November 22 at his Gold Coast home while his wife was asleep.<\/p>\n

These are priceless to our family and the sentimental value has caused huge sadness for me and my wife.<\/p>\n \u201cI would ask the thieves or anyone who has seen or know the whereabouts of the jerseys to kindly return them or leave them somewhere they can be returned to us.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease we don\u2019t want anyone hurt just praying they return my families treasures.<\/p>\n \u201cNo nasty comments please, we just want the jerseys returned.\u201d<\/p>\n Jaxson Paulo also posted about the incident on his Instagram account, stating: \u201cAny help would be appreciated!\u201d<\/p>\n Jaxson Paulo has made 55 NRL appearances during a rugby league career that has also included representing Samoa on one occasion.
