As a result, the final race is a lucrative and important one for both teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton\u00a0has enjoyed a mixed season with Mercedes amid the dominance of Red Bull duo\u00a0Max Verstappen\u00a0and Sergio Perez. The British driver has enjoyed six podium finishes &#8211; coming second in Mexico, Spain and Australia, and third in Singapore, Silverstone and Canada &#8211; but is yet to claim a win.<\/p>\n<p>His Mercedes teammate\u00a0George Russell has seen less success behind the wheel with just the one podium finish all season &#8211; finishing third at the\u00a0Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya\u00a0in the Spanish Grand Prix. The pair are in third and eighth in the standings respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Both driver&#8217;s finishes have awarded Mercedes with 392 points for the season, but Ferrari are hot on their heels with 388 points accumulated by\u00a0Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/73\/590x\/secondary\/5082036.jpg?r=1700766537155\"><\/p>\n<p>Sainz has three podium finishes and a win at the\u00a0Singapore Grand Prix back in September this season. However, a third-place finish would mean around \u00a397m in winnings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The winning prize money has already been in Red Bull&#8217;s hands for the majority of the season thanks to 29 podiums between Verstappen and Perez.\u00a0The pair have won all but one race all season with the only blemish on Red Bull&#8217;s record coming courtesy of Carlos Sainz&#8217;s Singapore Grand Prix win back in Sept.<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen &#8211; who has already been crowned World Champion for a third consecutive year &#8211; has 18 wins and 20 podium finishes all season to make up the bulk of the team&#8217;s achievements.
