Liverpool and Tottenham have been sent a message by Brighton’s loan star Ansu Fati as he prepares to make a decision on his Barcelona future next summer. The two Premier League clubs are reportedly keen to recruit the talented winger after watching him shine for the South Coast outfit, having joined them on a season-long loan move back in August, and Fati has now addressed his future plans.

Fati has not only featured for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, he has flourished and earned himself a starting role for Brighton. With four goals in 13 appearances this season already, the Spain international has earned plaudits for his performances – with Liverpool and Spurs both taking note of his seamless transition from Spanish football to the Premier League.

However, the player’s desire to return to Barcelona when his loan stint concludes could throw a spanner in the works.

According to Catalan publication Sport, Fati’s ‘absolute priority’ is to rejoin the Barca squad next summer when his loan contract expires on June 30 as he believes he can win back his place in the team. He also hopes to win his place back in the Spain national team ahead of Euro 2024.

But such a price would surely appeal to Liverpool and Spurs despite his injury record, with Fati’s performances indicating he still has his best years ahead of him.
