Manchester United star Scott McTominay has been left fuming following Scotland’s 2-2 draw at Georgia. The midfielder has called his opponents’ behaviour towards the officials during Thursday’s Euro 2024 qualifier a “disgrace”.<\/p>\n
Scotland have already qualified for next summer’s tournament but are attempting to keep up momentum heading to Germany. Steve Clarke’s side had lost their last three matches heading to Tbilisi, including friendly defeats to England and France.<\/p>\n
Georgia looked set to extend that losing run to four matches. Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in just the 15th minute.<\/p>\n
McTominay has been in fine goalscoring form for club and country and drew Scotland level shortly after half-time. Kvaratskhelia quickly restored the hosts’ lead in what looked set to be another frustrating evening for Clarke.<\/p>\n

McTominay spoke to ViaPlay after the match and much of his interview was dominated by his opinion on what he thought was play-acting from his Georgia counterparts.<\/p>\n The 26-year-old said: “They’ve got some very good footballers but tonight, the way they were acting, it was a disgrace in terms of provoking the referee.<\/p>\n “That’s football and I guess it’s just the way it goes. There are some disappointed heads in the dressing room but I think it’s something we can build on in terms of coming back twice. They should do something about players pretending to be injured when they’re not.<\/p>\n\n
