<\/p>\nA Newcastle fan has owned to rowing with Kieran Trippier and admitted: \u201cEveryone\u2019s done stupid things.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following the Magpies\u2019 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth, as the players went to applaud the travelling fans after the final whistle, England full-back Trippier was filmed on social media responding to a supporter by saying: \u201cAre the lads not giving everything? How many injuries have we got?\u201d<\/p>\n
Afterwards, Trippier played down the incident. He told Sky Sports: \u201cThe fans are emotional, they have travelled a long way. I had a chat with one of them, saying we are giving everything and there\u2019s no need to panic. We got beat and we apologise for that result, but the lads are giving everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fan in question, Thomas Willoughby, has now spoken out, writing on a Newcastle supporters\u2019 group Facebook page to explain the incident. He said: \u201cIt was me, I travelled all day and was very frustrated about the performance. I regret having a go at them because I know what all these players have done for the club.<\/p>\n
