Jonny Evans will be out for ‘the next few weeks’ injured, Manchester United have confirmed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The centre back strained his thigh in United’s 4-3 loss against Copenhagen in the Champions League\u00a0on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Evans, 35, was replaced by Raphael Varane 15 minutes into the game after pulling up with the injury nowhere near the ball.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He is set to miss Northern Ireland’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Finland and Denmark as a result – though Michael O’Neill’s side are already out of contention anyway.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It also means he will miss United’s game against Luton on Saturday, their last match before the international break.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Evans had made eight appearances for United this season after rejoining the club for the first time since 2015 in the summer, signing a one-year contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n
