Can you imagine scoring 10 goals on the final day of the season whilst chasing the league title, only to lose out on it after conceding a single goal to an already relegated side?

Well that's exactly what happened to Norwegian side Lyn 1896 FK. This weekend, Lyn took on already relegated Fram Larvik in the Norwegian Second Division, knowing that a win would give them the chance to win the title, and seal promotion.

However, despite managing to score 10 goals in a rampant display against Fram Larvik, Isak Nilsen's lone goal in a 10-1 defeat for his side on 51 minutes ended up costing Lyn the title on goal difference, which went to Egersund, who won their game 5-0 against Vard, as a result.

"OH. MY. GOD. WHAT AN END TO THE SEASON," tweeted Nordic Footy, a social media account that follows all that is happening in Nordic football.

"Egersund win the title and promotion by winning off ONE GOAL DIFFERENCE! Lyn had to win big but Isak Nilsen's goal for relegated Fram Larvik means that Lyn will have to go through the playoffs! UNBELIEVABLE!"

How would you feel if you won 10-1 but that one goal cost you promotion? Let us know in the comments section below.
