Rio Ferdinand lauded Manchester City and Pep Puardiola for maintaining their ludicrously high standards after their 3-0 Champions League win over BSC Young Boys.<\/p>\n

‘It\u2019s a mentality thing. It\u2019s about staying strong mentally in that pursuit of greatness again and setting new targets, not just accepting \u2018we\u2019ve won now and we\u2019re fine\u2019 and just going along with it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘You\u2019ve got to keep setting targets and really going for them. It can be draining mentally but this team don\u2019t seem to lack in that area. They have a manager who\u2019s on their case, setting targets for them individually and mentally. He keeps adding players, Doku in there.<\/p>\n
‘This manager has to set the tone and this manager has done that. They\u2019re the ones you look at and you say, if he can keep coming in every day demanding standards, you have to step up.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘The thing here if he will get rid of you. If you can\u2019t deal with that pressure and maintain standards, he won\u2019t have you here.’<\/p>\n
