Emma Hayes has agreed to take charge of the United States Women’s National Team following her shock decision to leave Chelsea, according to reports.<\/p>\n
Hayes is the most successful manager in Women’s Super League history, having led Chelsea to 15 trophies in 11 years at the club.<\/p>\n
It was announced on Saturday that she will leave the London club at the end of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now,\u00a0The Telegraph claim, Hayes has now agreed to lead the USWNT, who have been in the market for\u00a0a new head coach since August, when Vlatko Andonovski stepped down.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Additionally, The Athletic have reported that US Soccer will make Hayes the highest-paid women’s soccer coach in the world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Andonovski’s side hugely\u00a0disappointed\u00a0at the World Cup in\u00a0Australia and New Zealand, as the US women were eliminated in the round of 16 by Sweden.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chelsea announced on Saturday that Emma Hayes will leave the club at the end of the season\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Vlatko Andonovski coached the USWNT in a disappointing run at the 2023 World Cup<\/p>\n They’ll now reportedly enter a new era led by Hayes, who will depart Chelsea in May.<\/p>\n \u2018Emma\u2019s contribution to Chelsea cannot be understated,\u2019 Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly and co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali said.<\/p>\n \u2018She has been a pioneer in women\u2019s football and is hugely respected within the game. We look forward to continuing to work together over the coming months.\u2019<\/p>\n In addition to winning six WSL titles, Hayes led Chelsea to five FA Cups, two League Cups, one Spring Series and one Community Shield.<\/p>\n Earlier on Saturday, her side moved to the top of the WSL table with a 6-0 win over Aston Villa.<\/p>\n Co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley added, \u2018Emma has been one of the biggest drivers of change in women\u2019s football.
