{"id":295417,"date":"2023-10-28T23:25:02","date_gmt":"2023-10-28T23:25:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sports-life-news.com\/?p=295417"},"modified":"2023-10-28T23:25:02","modified_gmt":"2023-10-28T23:25:02","slug":"mane-ronaldo-and-saint-maximin-among-the-footballers-at-fury-ngannou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sports-life-news.com\/boxing\/mane-ronaldo-and-saint-maximin-among-the-footballers-at-fury-ngannou\/","title":{"rendered":"Mane, Ronaldo and Saint-Maximin among the footballers at Fury-Ngannou"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Sadio Mane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Allan Saint-Maximin are among the footballers at Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou &#8211; with fellow Saudi Pro League stars Aymeric Laporte and Franck Kessie also in attendance<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tyson Fury is taking on Francis Ngannou in a crossover bout this evening<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Big names from sport and entertainment were there, including footballers\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>LISTEN: Exclusive Tyson Fury interview on THE HOOK &#8211; our new boxing podcast\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Several footballers were in attendance for Tyson Fury&#8217;s Battle of the Baddest fight against Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The Gypsy King took on the former MMA star in Riyadh in one of the most eagerly-anticipated bouts of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrities and sports stars from all over the world were spotted ringside, including many footballers.<\/p>\n<p>Cristiano Ronaldo was the biggest name of them all, with the Portuguese superstar now plying his trade with Al-Nassr after his move last year.<\/p>\n<p>He was spotted mingling with Fury on Friday night at a pre-fight gala, before spending time with his brother Tommy during the day on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/23\/77127413-12684249-image-a-87_1698533548790.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Several footballers were attendance for Tyson Fury against Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/23\/77127411-12684249-image-a-88_1698533567312.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was there with his partner\u00a0Georgina Rodriguez\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/23\/77127409-12684249-image-a-86_1698533547258.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>His team-mate at Al-Nassr, Sadio Mane, was also at the fight with a ringside seat<\/p>\n<p>Ronaldo was later pictured at the fight with his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, he\u00a0was seemingly booed loudly by spectators in Riyadh as he took his seat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The forward looked stony-faced in response to his reception &#8211; and failed to crack a smile when the camera returned to him when seated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That picture received even louder boos, prompting TNT Sports anchor Laura Woods to question teasingly &#8216;how long is his contract (at Al-Nassr)?&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Several other big-name footballers moved to the kingdom during a major summer spending spree, when Saudi Pro League clubs splashed more than \u00a3750m in the market.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/23\/77127407-12684249-image-a-89_1698533623966.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Former Newcastle favourite Allan Saint-Maximin now plays for Al-Ahli and was at the fight too<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/23\/77127005-12684249-image-a-90_1698533643965.jpg\" height=\"357\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Franck Kessie (middle left) and Aymeric Laporte (middle right, white jacket) were ringside<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/i\/pix\/2023\/10\/25\/The%20Hook_Promo_Desktop.363.png\"><\/p>\n<p>And some of those were also in attendance, with Ronaldo&#8217;s team-mate at Al-Nassr, Aymeric Laporte, who joined from Man City for \u00a323.6m, seen sitting behind Rio Ferdinand.<\/p>\n<p>The defender was two seats away from Franck Kessie, who joined Al-Ahli for \u00a310.8m.<\/p>\n<p>The pair had brilliant spots to watch the fight and were near to the likes of Conor McGregor, with the Irishman sitting next to former Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin, who is a team-mate of Kessie.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool favourite Sadio Mane was another famous footballer at the fight.
