The thought of touching raw chicken is so vile to many that the term \u201cchicken phobia\u201d became a highly discussed point on TikTok. However, one of United\u2019s and the Premier League\u2019s finest defenders may owe his entire career to his unusual tactic of playing football with a raw chicken fillet in his boot. <\/p>\n
Considering his previous antics with raw chicken, you may not be surprised to hear that Patrice Evra was the individual who played with the flesh in his boot. But while the Frenchman is known to b rather eccentric, there was method in the madness<\/p>\n

In an interview with the Players\u2019 Tribune in 2019, he said: "An opponent had stamped on my foot and damaged it badly. In hospital I told the Monaco coach, Didier Deschamps, 'It\u2019s too painful. I can\u2019t play. I can\u2019t even walk!'<\/p>\n
"But the team needed me, so the doctors tried everything to take away the pain. Nothing worked. Then someone from the club staff said, 'Why don\u2019t you just go old school?' Everyone said, 'What do you mean?' He said, 'Just slide a chicken down his boot.'<\/p>\n
