Sheffield United are investigating women’s first team manager Jonathan Morgan after a formal complaint was made about his alleged behaviour.<\/p>\n
Mail Sport<\/span> can reveal that Morgan has agreed to step away from matches and training while the club looks into issues raised over his conduct.<\/p>\n The manager was not on the touchline for the Blades’ 4-0 defeat at Birmingham, last week’s Continental League Cup tie with Sunderland and the Blades’ 3-1 victory over London City Lionesses earlier this month.<\/p>\n Assistant coach Luke Turner has been in charge since Morgan stepped away from his duties. His last match was the 1-0 victory over Lewes in September.<\/p>\n Morgan, who was previously manager of Burnley and Leicester, was appointed Sheffield United boss in February after the departure of Neil Redfearn.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sheffield United are investigating women’s first team manager Jonathan Morgan after a formal complaint was made about his alleged behaviour<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Morgan has stepped away from his role while the club looks into issues raised over his conduct<\/p>\n Mail Sport<\/span> understands concerns have been raised about his alleged treatment of certain squad members and that a formal complaint was lodged earlier this month.<\/p>\n Sheffield United and representatives for Morgan did not respond when approached for comment.<\/p>\n Morgan spent seven years with Leicester and took the club from the fourth tier to the Women’s Super League before being dismissed in November 2021.<\/p>\n He was appointed manager of Burnley in May 2022 and went 16 games unbeaten before leaving for Sheffield United earlier this year.<\/p>\n The last four weeks have been extremely difficult for the club following the passing of vice-captain Maddy Cusack.<\/p>\n Cusack, 27, died at her home address in Derbyshire on September 20. At the time, Derbyshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.<\/p>\n Cusack, who also worked for the club’s commercial department as a marketing executive, was Sheffield United’s longest-serving female player and the first to reach 100 appearances.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It comes after the tragic passing of the Blades’ vice-captain Maddy Cusack back in September\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Several tributes were paid to Cusack,\u00a0who also worked for the club’s commercial department<\/p>\n In a tribute posted on the club’s official website on September 21 announcing the news of her death, Sheffield United chief executive Stephen Bettis said: ‘This is heart-breaking news for everyone at Bramall Lane.<\/p>\n ‘Maddy had a unique position of being part of a number of teams at Sheffield United and was popular with everyone that she came into contact with.<\/p>\n ‘Her personality and professionalism made her a credit to her family – she will be sadly missed.<\/p>\n ‘While taking in the news and moving forward, the club will offer as much support as possible to Maddy’s family, friends and colleagues.’<\/p>\n
