Toronto FC star Lorenzo Insigne was seen arguing and swearing at one of his side’s fans during their recent MLS match.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Insigne’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat to FC Cincinnati on Saturday night after Brandon Vazquez and\u00a0Aaron Boupendza struck to seal all three points for the visitors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was yet another disappointing result for Toronto, who currently sit bottom of the Eastern Conference table – with just 22 points from 31 games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And the growing concerns from the fanbase boiled over on Saturday night as Insigne – who is currently injured – clashed with one of Toronto’s supporters.<\/p>\n
In a video that has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), the Italian can be seen shouting and swearing in the direction of the home supporters.<\/p>\n
He shouts: ‘Hey, f*** you! Respect!’ before turning back and heading towards the corporate seating section.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Italian forward, who is currently injured, had to be ushered back inside during the incident<\/p>\n

It’s unclear what instigated the argument which occurred midway through the match at the BMO Field.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the game, Toronto came from behind on two separate occassions – to bring the game level – before\u00a0Boupendza scored the all-important winner in the 72nd minute.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Insigne has spent two years with the MLS side, since leaving Napoli in 2022, and has managed to score 11 goals and record six assists from his 32 appearances.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It comes as the latest unsavoury story regarding the club, after Toronto and Italy midfielder Federico Bernardeschi was repeatedly told off for vaping around the team in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reports by The Athletic add that the incidents with the 29-year-old midfielder, who is paid \u00a35.16million a year ($6.3million), have happened despite being told several times to stop.<\/p>\n
Italy international Bernardeschi – who has 39 caps to his name – is one of the standout names for Toronto and has scored three times in 14 appearances so far this season.<\/p>\n
