Jubilant Arsenal fans have come up with a brilliant Kai Havertz chant that mocks his former club Chelsea.

The German forward has been a maligned figure in some quarters following his difficult finals days at Chelsea before his £60million-plus move to the Emirates. Havertz hasn’t exactly hit the ground running with the Gunners and was goalless heading into today’s game at Bournemouth.

Since his cross-capital move, Chelsea fans have been quick to poke fun at Arsenal for shelling out such a hefty fee for the 24-year-old. However, Gunners fans turned the joke on the beleaguered Blues as Havertz scored his first goal for the club from the penalty spot during the 4-0 win at Bournemouth.

The snappy ode was sung to the tune of Shakira’s Waka Wake (This Time for Africa). It goes: “Waka waka, eh, eh, £60M down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again.”

A Gunners fan responded by declaring: “Love this chant!! Love this club!!!” Another said: “We are shameless and I loved it!”

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta loved the chant too. Speaking after the game, the Spaniard said: “I’m so happy with our supporters, the way they made him feel. If there’s a player who deserves that it’s him. Probably it will change everything.”

Havertz had Martin Odegaard to thank for his first Arsenal goal though. The Norwegian had already scored from the spot on the stroke of half-time to make it 2-0 following Bukayo Saka’s opener.
