I think I would probably win in a swear-off. I\u2019ve got everyone covered when it comes to that. Doesn\u2019t matter what we\u2019re doing, I\u2019m swearing.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Warming to his theme he added: \u2018I don\u2019t understand why Jon doesn\u2019t swear in Spanish. Why does he swear in English? I don\u2019t get it. He would probably get away with it if he just swore in Spanish. Maybe the English language has a bit more punch to it with certain words.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Hatton suffers perhaps more than any other golfer from white line fever.<\/p>\n<p>With a reputation for being witty and courteous off the course, his blow-ups after falling short of perfection when hitting a shot have marked him out.<\/p>\n<p>So much so that the DP Tour actually produced a showreel video of his self-beration lasting more than 10 minutes, entitled Tyrrell Hatton: Angry Golfer.<\/p>\n<p>The 31-year-old from High Wycombe was happy to play along with the stereotype, lightheartedly telling the media to \u2018F*** off\u2019 by way of example.<\/p>\n<p>More seriously he assessed his relationship with Rahm, saying: \u2018I think we\u2019re fairly similar, pretty fiery people. But Jon is obviously a fantastic player and naturally brings a great energy. I genuinely enjoy being in Jon\u2019s company.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/20\/75906709-12567977-image-a-49_1695842873889.jpg\" height=\"432\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Rahm also has a simmering temper &#8211; although it has mellowed with parenthood<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/20\/75906645-12567977-image-a-51_1695843004571.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Rahm&#8217;s past playing partner Sergio Garcia is unavailable because of his LIV Golf defection<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He does like to call me Ty-Rell, which is an interesting move. He started calling me that at Whistling Straits and I might have actually hit a decent shot after that. They were few and far between that week.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I don\u2019t think being emotional \u2014 I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a negative.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Rahm also has a simmering temper, although the experience of parenthood \u2014 he has two sons, born in 2021 and 2022 \u2014 seems to have mellowed him somewhat.<\/p>\n<p>Either way there will be no shortage of fire that they would bring, with Hatton intent on improving his previous Ryder Cup record of managing two and a half points from the seven he has played for.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Ultimately you are playing against the best players in the world,\u2019 he reasoned.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018From the European side, the highest percentage of wins is around 70 per cent.
