Martin Odegaard has signed a new long-term contract and has committed his future to the north London club until 2028.<\/p>\n

The Norway international initially joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid in January 2021 and his move was made permanent the following summer.<\/p>\n
After initially struggling to cement a place in the starting XI, Odegaard has thrived under the management of Mikel Arteta and was handed the captaincy on a permanent basis at the start of last season.<\/p>\n
Arguably in the best form of his career, the 24-year-old, man of the match in midweek as Arsenal made a triumphant return to the Champions League after a six year absence, Odegaard has now committed the peak years of his career to Arsenal, much to the delight of Arteta. <\/p>\n
