Amir Khan reckons Tyson Fury's Netflix documentary proved his wife Paris is "the boss at home" – admitting all boxers are the same.

Fans have been able to get a rare look into the private life of the Gypsy King in At Home With the Furys, which was released last month ahead of his crossover bout with MMA star Francis Ngannou next month.

Khan knows all too well what that's like having filmed three seasons of BBC show Meet the Khans alongside his other half Faryal Makhdoom before his sexting storm.

Appearing on Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie this week, he said he enjoyed seeing the "soft side" of Fury that Paris brings out of him when he's not in the ring.

"I love Tyson Fury, honestly, he’s a friend of mine and at the same time, watching that show and seeing the soft side of him and the funny side of him, because that’s what people want to see," said Khan.

"People think us fighters are always tough and we're always hot headed, but we’re soft at home. The wives are the bosses. They tell us 'do this' and we have to do it.

"They tell you 'jump', you say 'how many times?'. I’m telling you. It don’t matter, you might be going into the ring and knocking men out and knocking these big giants out but when you are at home, they put you in your place.

"And we see that in mine and in Tyson’s documentaries. I think it’s nice to see as fighters, we are normal people. I think for sportsmen and women, I think boxing, when it comes to boxing, we are the most simplest people."

In the show, Tyson admits "I'd probably be dead without Paris" as he opened up on his mental health struggles, while Paris labels him a "six-foot-nine big kid" on top of the six she already had to deal with – and a seventh they welcomed this week.
