Soccer AM legends Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy were reunited 16 years on from last working together.

The duo hosted Sky Sports' Saturday morning football show, which was axed earlier this year after nearly three decades on air, together from 1996 to 2007. That era is widely considered the peak of the programme's popularity as they pushed the boundaries with segments such as Soccerettes.

Lovejoy left over a pay dispute for producers while Chamberlain stayed on for another decade, presenting alongside first Andy Goldstein, then Max Rushden and lastly John Fendley. The former has since gone on to host Sunday Brunch on Channel 4 alongside Simon Rimmer.

One argued: "One of the best TV couples ever! @timlovejoy and @HellsBellsy brilliant together! Please @SundayBrunchC4 have them present the show if Simon is away!"

A second echoed: "Get @HellsBellsy as stand in presenter when Simon’s off, they’re great together!" A third claimed: "The chemistry is still there."

While one went so far as to say: "Why not just add her permanently, you used to have three presenters." They were referencing Lovejoy and Rimmer's former BBC show Something for the Weekend, which Amanda Holden and Louise Redknapp also worked on.
