The second weekend of Rugby World Cup action concludes on Sunday with three matches spread across Groups B, C and D.

South Africa have a favourable task as they face a Romania side which conceded 12 tries against Ireland in their first match. The Springboks have rotated because of their strength in depth, and stronger challenges to come.

In Group C, Australia will hope to build on their 20-point victory over Georgia on the opening weekend, while Fiji will be out to avenge the demons of their six-point defeat to Wales.

And in Sunday’s late kick-off, Steve Borthwick’s England will hope to continue their strong performance against Argentina by facing off against Japan.

MailSport‘s Mike Brown offers a guide to Sunday’s Rugby World Cup action:

Steve Borthwick’s England will look to continue their strong start when they face Japan

South Africa’s Canan Moodie is one to watch out for as they face Romania in their second game

South Africa v Romania

2pm, ITVX stream

This could be a stroll in the park for the Springboks. They’ve rotated their team but they’ve got so much strength in depth.

Scotland played well last week but they just ground them down comfortably with their power. It must be soul-destroying to see them unload that bench.

One to watch: Canan Moodie

Australia v Fiji

4.45pm, ITV1

I want Fiji to win because it would be great for the tournament. I loved watching them against Wales last week and it would be amazing to see them playing knockout rugby.

Eddie Jones has got Australia’s X-factor players scoring tries but have a lot to improve on.

One to watch: Waisea Nayacalevu

Fiji’s centre Waisea Nayacalevu is one to look out for as they look to win against Australia

Tom Curry was given a tough two-game ban for a red card he picked up against Argentina

England v Japan

8pm, ITV1

It’s tough on Tom Curry that he’s banned for two games. I don’t think it was a red card.

The fact that Jesse Kriel wasn’t punished for the same incident is where all the frustration comes from.

Sport and accidents happen. Everyone’s doing what they can to make the sport safer but there are certain incidents you can’t do anything about.

There was no malice to it and I don’t see how Curry could have done anything differently in that situation unless he dived out of the way. It feels like we’re pandering too much.
