Tottenham produced a stunning stoppage-time comeback to beat Sheffield United 2-1 having been losing in the 97th minute.

The Blades looked like they'd secured a massive win on their travels after summer signing Gustavo Hamer had put them ahead with a little over 15 minutes to go in north London. But substitute Richarlison brought Spurs level before Dejan Kulusevski scored a winner in the space of three minutes.

To add insult to injury for Paul Heckingbottom's side, they had Ollie McBurnie sent off for a second bookable offence before full-time after he said something untoward to referee Peter Bankes. He'll therefore miss their home clash with Newcastle next weekend.

Spurs were heavy favourites heading into the game having picked up 10 points from their opening four matches of the season before the international break, with Ange Postecoglou and James Maddison picking up the Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively as a result.

United, meanwhile, had just a point to their name. But they more than held their own as neither side could find a breakthrough until late on in the second half.

Hamer fired in off the post after the ball fell to him on his left foot from a corner. Multiple second-half disruptions led to 12 minutes of stoppage time, though.

Richarlison, who was benched for the second successive game by Postecoglou after his early season struggles, headed home fellow substitute Ivan Perisic's corner in the 98th minute.

The Brazil international then turned provider, cutting the ball back for Kulusevski who fired home from inside the box. Both he and Perisic were booked along with McBurnie before the full-time whistle was eventually blown in the 16th minute of stoppage time.

Elsewhere in the 3pm kick-offs on Saturday (September 16) afternoon, Aston Villa also produced a late comeback to beat Crystal Palace 3-1. Fulham edged Luton 1-0, Brighton claimed a 3-1 win at Old Trafford, and Man City did the same against West Ham.
