Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has fielded his latest approach to return to football management for the first time since his Manchester United sack in 2021, according to reports. But the Norwegian has rejected the opportunity as he continues to wait for the right time to step foot back into the dugout.

Solskjaer has been out of a job since leaving United in November 2021 but is in no rush to return to the managerial limelight.

United lost five of their opening 12 Premier League games in his final campaign at the helm. A humiliating 4-1 defeat at Watford was the final straw.

But he restored his relationship with Red Devils supporters by filming an emotional farewell video, and the Stretford End paid tribute to the club icon with a banner after his exit.

The fanbase now eagerly awaits his next role in football, but Solskjaer has once again rebuffed an approach for his services.

Speaking to Norwegian outlet NRK, Solskjaer confirmed that the Norwegian FA contacted him about the vacant women’s national team job.

However, he admitted that he wasn’t in a position to return to management and therefore declined the approach.
