Off!\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mason Greenwood is set to return to Football Manager following his deadline day move to Getafe, the makers of the video game series have confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Greenwood was arrested on suspicion attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour in January 2022, and Sports Interactive soon removed the 21-year-old forward from the game after he was suspended by Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>The forward, whose charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February 2023 after &#8216;key witnesses&#8217; withdrew from the case, has now started a new chapter in Spain after sealing a loan move to Getafe last week.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United, despite initially planning to reintegrate Greenwood after a six-month internal investigation, ultimately announced that the star would not play for the club again after receiving extreme backlash from the public at the prospect of his return.<\/p>\n<p>Now that the forward is on loan at Getafe &#8211; and, more crucially, back from his suspension &#8211; the makers of Football Manager have revealed their plan to add him back into the game &#8216;at the next scheduled update&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/10\/75160079-12491085-image-a-2_1694079354215.jpg\" height=\"430\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mason Greenwood is set to return to Football Manager following his loan move to Getafe<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/10\/75160125-12491085-image-a-1_1694079352067.jpg\" height=\"440\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Manchester United star, whose\u00a0charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February 2023,\u00a0has now started a new chapter in Spain after over 18 months out of football<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Players or officials serving indefinite suspensions from football, for any reason, are removed from Football Manager at the first opportunity,&#8217; Sports Interactive told The Athletic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;When suspensions or playing restrictions are lifted, the player or official will be reinstated in-game at the next scheduled update.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Greenwood, who was given a warm reception after being unveiled as a Getafe player on Wednesday, could make his LaLiga debut against Osasuna on September 17, after the international break.<\/p>\n<p>Sports Interactive have yet not confirmed an official release date for
