with the club hopeful he will return after the October international break<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thomas Partey sustained an upper leg muscular problem during a session\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He underwent tests with the damage a combination of groin and thigh injuries\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The ever-present midfielder may return after the October international break\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Arsenal hope key midfielder Thomas Partey will be available after the October international break after he suffered an upper leg muscular injury in training last week.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana international pulled up on Thursday and has undergone a series of tests to determine the extent of the damage, which has been pinpointed as a combination of a groin and thigh injury.<\/p>\n<p>Head coach Mikel Arteta has not publicly put a timescale on Partey&#8217;s recovery but it is understood club medics expect Partey to miss at least six weeks, although given the player&#8217;s history with thigh problems the club will take a cautious approach to his rehabilitation which could extend his unavailability.<\/p>\n<p>That means Partey is set to miss crucial Premier League fixtures against Everton, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Manchester City;
