And what about Man United &#8216;diving&#8217;?: Listen to It&#8217;s All Kicking Off Mail Sport&#8217;s new podcast<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rio Ferdinand has backed the touchline antics of Newcastle assistant manager Jason Tindall, stating he&#8217;s &#8216;here for it&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Magpies number two was seen appearing to shush Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp during Sunday&#8217;s clash at St James Park, in response to the Reds&#8217; gaffers constant ranting at the fourth official.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Klopp and Liverpool had the last laugh on Tindall as the visitors fought back from 1-0 down to win the game, despite having Virgil van Dijk sent off just before the half hour mark.<\/p>\n<p>Tindall&#8217;s passionate touchline displays have received mixed reactions among football fans, but former England defender Ferdinand has no issue with the way Eddie Howe&#8217;s righthand man behaves.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Talking on his FIVE podcast, Ferdinand said: &#8216;I&#8217;m here for it.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/16\/74773863-0-Newcastle_United_s_assistant_manager_Jason_Tindall_left_puts_his-a-5_1693324526769.jpg\" height=\"453\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jason Tindall appears to aim a shushing gesture at Jurgen Klopp in Newcastle&#8217;s clash with Liverpool on Sunday\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/17\/74840189-12457779-image-a-6_1693324956282.jpg\" height=\"339\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Rio Ferdinand has backed the behaviour of Tindall and his role in Eddie Howe&#8217;s backroom team<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/17\/74840187-12457779-image-a-7_1693324961126.jpg\" height=\"343\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The former England defender says he&#8217;s &#8216;all here&#8217; for Tindall shushing the Liverpool manager\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Maybe Eddie Howe is so comfortable in his own skin, that he\u2019s sitting there going I don\u2019t mind what my number two does &#8211; actually, I like that, because it takes the spotlight off me a little bit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You do your stuff, but the decisions are being made by me anyway, so who cares.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle went ahead in the game through Anthony Gordon, prompting Tindall&#8217;s gesture to the opposite dugout, before Liverpool turned the game on it&#8217;s head.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Substitute Darwin Nunez netted two late goals to stun St James Park and saw Klopp go berserk as he celebrated an unlikely three points for his side.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/17\/74840269-12457779-image-a-8_1693325257207.jpg\" height=\"506\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jurgen Klopp had the last laugh on Tindall as Liverpool fought back to beat Newcastle 2-1\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the first time the two sets of benches have clashed since Howe and his coaching staff&#8217;s arrival in the north east.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last season the FA were forced to investigate after a Newcastle coach threw a water bottle towards the opposition dugout when Liverpool scored a late winner in their win at St James&#8217;
