Thomas Tuchel\u2019s stance on signing Scott McTominay from Manchester United has been revealed.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for the Scotland international and are thought to have approached United over a possible swap deal.<\/p>\n
Both teams are looking to strengthen in the middle of the pitch before the transfer window closes with\u00a0Tuchel\u00a0having bemoaned his lack of a number six for most of the summer.<\/p>\n
Erik ten Hag, similarly, has been looking for a dynamic number eight capable of dovetailing with Casemiro \u2013 with that need only increasing following\u00a0an injury to Mason Mount.<\/p>\n
It appears the two clubs may be able to solve each other\u2019s problems, with German media reporting that Bayern have proposed a swap deal between McTominay and Ryan Gravenberch.<\/p>\n
However, a potential swap has now been thrown into doubt with The Telegraph reporting that Bayern sources have played down Tuchel\u2019s interest in McTominay.<\/p>\n
They claim that Tuchel instead wants to prioritise a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.<\/p>\n
It has been reported that Bayern have now formally approached Chelsea to start talks over Chalobah.<\/p>\n
Chalobah, 24, came through Chelsea\u2019s academy and has made a total of 63 appearances for the west Londoners to date.<\/p>\n
But Chelsea are open to sale this summer with the player not thought to be part of Mauricio Pochettino\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n
