Wright admits he’d love Pogba to play for Arsenal as Man Utd star nears exit

Ian Wright "would love" Paul Pogba to play for Arsenal as he continues to be linked with a Manchester United exit.

The Frenchman has been in and out of the Red Devils starting XI over recent months.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer though has picked him for the games against Wolves and Aston Villa recently.

It was in the game on New Year's Day that Pogba caught the eye as he underlined his quality.

Speculation continues to link him with pastures new after his agent Mino Raiola advised United to sell the player.

Mirror Sport understands that the club will sanction Pogba's exit in the summer after accepting he would not sign a new deal.

And Wright admits he would love a player of his ilk in north London as he waxed lyrical about his performance against Villa.

"Yes [Pogba is back to his best] he is and you know, with all the stuff that’s happened with him he’s getting it right on the pitch," he said.

"He’s put it all to the side and to be honest he’s putting in good performances. ‘He was unlucky there [not to score against Villa] but I thought with his ability he should have scored.

"Great touch, great play, great awareness, great skill. He’s getting everyone playing and that’s what he does.

"He was everywhere. He was in his own box, he was up there in their box, he was doing everything today.

"That’s what he can do with his creativity. you give him this much time when you have willing runners like Marcus Rashford….that is just fantastic.

"A super, super pass. I’d love to have someone like that."

Juventus have been the club most heavily linked with Pogba's signature.

The World Cup winner left the Italian giants back in 2016 having enjoyed four hugely successful years in Turin.

Raiola has already named the Serie A champions as a potential destination for the 27-year-old.
