Ana Maria Markovic, who has been branded the 'world's most beautiful footballer', has wowed football fans with her bikini snaps on social media.

Markovic has been recuperating after suffering a horror ACL injury while playing for Swiss side Grasshopper last season. And the winger has been recovering in the warm weather, sharing two snaps from the Laganini Beach Club in Ciovo, Croatia.

She captioned the post: "Summer in pink," while wearing a pink two-piece bikini decorated with flowers. And fans were quick to shower the Croatian international with compliments in the comments section of her post.

"Absolutely perfect from head to toe," one fan responded. While a second added: "Your natural beauty is something else…"

Markovic has regularly shared updates about her recovery after initially suffering the blow she shared with her Instagram followers: " "I don't know where to start…

"Unfortunately, I got injured at the last game and will now have to say goodbye to football for a long time. It hurts so much and still can not believe it.

"All who know me, know that I have a very strong personality and that I will come back even stronger… Thank you all for the support… I will need it in the next few months even more."
