Richarlison’s misery following his Anfield nightmare on Sunday has continued after he was brutally mocked by Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson on The Footballer’s Football Podcast. The Tottenham forward has had a rough few days following Spurs’ dramatic 4-3 defeat at Liverpool last weekend in which he thought he netted a last-gasp equaliser for the visitors.
Nonetheless, just seconds later Diogo Jota would go straight up the other end and net the winner for Liverpool, who were let off the hook after surrendering a three-goal lead.
Richarlison had just finished putting his shirt back on following the jubilant celebratory scenes in front of the away end where it was quite simply pandemonium.
West Ham centre-forward Antonio couldn’t help but see the funny side of Richarlison’s celebration, which included the pigeon dance with Son Heung-min, as he praised his commitment to removing his shirt.
Antonio said on the BBC podcast: “He’s scored four goals this season, three of the times he’s been offside. He has taken his top off four times this season.”

Newcastle frontman Wilson then chimed in, adding: “He’s got four yellows he’s almost on a suspension!”
Wilson was evidently joking around and when you scratch beneath the surface, it appears Richarlison has only been booked three times this season.
The only time he was carded for celebrating a goal was against Fulham back in September but the strike was eventually chalked off for offside.
Nonetheless, it didn’t stop Antonio and Wilson from poking fun at their counterpart as the Jamaican international continued: “I need to know. Even his goal the other day was so close to being offside.

“This man I swear to you, I rate him. Because he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care at all.”
Antonio later added: “Those moments there I understand taking your shirt off, like. I fully get it, like.
“Those moments there, you have to take it off, you’ve got to run around blah blah.
“But the fact is he has done it on three other occasions, this season, and been offside.
“That would be in the back of my mind. That would live, that would have a fully planted seed in there thinking, ‘I need to see, like, I need to know If i’m onside before I go nuts.”
Richarlison has been ruthlessly torn apart by Liverpool supporters since the goal which has been the subject of numerous memes.
The Brazilian is hardly popular around Anfield due to his previous ties to Everton and his celebration cemented his status as Merseyside’s pantomime villain.
Coincidentally, the header was actually Richarlison’s first Premier League goal for Tottenham since his £60million move from Goodison Park after seeing a number of strikes chalked off by VAR over the course of the season.
