Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reviews the Aston Villa game
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has spoken out ahead of Thursday night’s Premier League clash with Brighton. The Red Devils enter that showdown at the Amex Stadium on a high after a 1-0 win over Aston Villa last time out. And victory over Roberto De Zerbi’s side would move them a huge step closer to qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Ten Hag has confirmed Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay remain sidelined, while also stating it was too soon for Alejandro Garnacho to return to the fold.
The Argentina international hasn’t featured for the club since a goalless draw with Southampton on March 12.
And Ten Hag said: ”Rapha is closer than McTominay in this moment but still for the coming two games they are not available.
“I think it’s too soon [for Garnacho] to be available.”
Garnacho recently signed a new contract with the club that ties him down until 2028.
