Scott Parker admits he is on brink of sack just three months into Brugge job

Scott Parker has regrettably admitted he is on the brink of the sack after just three months in charge of Belgian side Club Brugge.

The Englishman was out of a job after being sacked by Bournemouth three days after being hammered 9-0 by Liverpool at Anfield in August last year. The former Spurs and Fulham player decided to venture abroad for his next job in management.

Much to many football fans' shock, the ex-England international was appointed manager of the Belgian side in December last year, just four months after leaving the Cherries. But after just three months at the historic club, he is already getting a bit hot under the collar.

The Champions League outfit suffered an embarrassing defeat to Oostende, who currently sit in the relegation zone of the Belgian top flight, and the 42-year-old has now admitted he may not be at the helm come their next match.

Parker has won just two matches out of 11 in charge and has admitted he may not be in charge for the side's round of 16 second-leg tie with Benfica on Tuesday.

When he was questioned about his future, he replied: "I'm not sure about that, it's a question I can't answer," talkSPORT reports.

"I have no explanation for that huge difference," Parker said. "We have to question ourselves deeply how we can perform like this after the match in Gent. I certainly have solutions."

Club Brugge have now fallen 20 points behind league leaders Genk who battered Parker's side 3-1 in his first match in charge.
