Neymar has denied reports that he is keen to host a bumper New Year's Eve party in Brazil.
The PSG and Brazil forward has released a statement via his lawyers that has denied any connection with the event which has been organised by digital marketing firm Agencia Fabrica.
In addition, it has been confirmed that the 28-year-old will be spending the evening with his family, which includes his nine-year-old son Davi Lucca and his physiotherapist.
The update comes after he allegedly hosted a huge party which did not follow coronavirus protocol as the confirmed number of cases in the South American country continues to rise.
"It's a Fabrica event. It has no connection with Neymar,” read the statement, as per Goal.
"He will be with his family, with his son and his physiotherapist [on New Year's Eve]".
Neymar was keen to distance himself from the party as he aims for Champions League glory with PSG following the official departure of Thomas Tuchel on Tuesday.
He is expected to be replaced by former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, who will likely see Neymar and Kylian Mbappe as he best hopes for treble glory.
A statement from the organisers adds: "Agencia Fabrica clarifies that it is the creator and producer of New Year's Eve event in the Costa Verde region, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, which will receive approximately 150 people.
"The event will take place in compliance with all health standards determined by public agencies.
“The company also clarifies that the private event, with exclusive access for guests and without ticket sales, happens with all licenses from the competent bodies necessary for its realisation."
Neymar wrote on Twitter earlier in the week while promoting a sponsor: “Our lives can became more meaningful when we live them with lots of intensity. You should never give up, always stay confident.”
