Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri wants Dzeko to replace Gonzalo Higuain in the No 9 shirt, should he leave at the end of the season.

Roma are reportedly looking to offload Edin Dzeko this summer to help with the financial ramifications of the coronavirus crisis. 

The 34-year-old, who is on a contract worth £6.6million annually until the summer of 2022, is likely to be a casualty of Roma’s cost-cutting measures according to Corriere Dello Sport.

Dzeko has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 35 games across all competitions

It is believed that Roma and Juve are negotiating terms, while the Turin club are also said to be pursuing full-back Riccardo Calafiori.

Dzeko has flourished during his time in the Italian capital scoring an impressive 102 goals from 211 appearances since joining the club from Manchester City on loan in 2015, before the move was made permanent a year later.

Despite his advancing years, he has maintained an impressive record this season, scoring 17 and providing nine assists in 35 games in all competitions.
