Cristiano Ronaldo is in line to make his second Manchester United debut against Newcastle at Old Trafford this weekend.
Ronaldo, 36, arrived at Carrington on Tuesday for the first time since securing his shock United return, meeting former team-mate turned boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before going through the gears in training with his new team-mates.
After his international break with Portugal was ended early by suspension last week, the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar was able to head to Manchester earlier than planned.
He could therefore be ready to make his first Red Devils start since 2009 against Newcastle on Saturday.
David de Gea is expected to get the nod in between the sticks once more, with the Spaniard seemingly remaining Solskjaer's first-choice goalkeeper this season despite competition from Dean Henderson.
Ronaldo's old Madrid team-mate Raphael Varane, who completed a £34million switch from the Bernabeu this summer, should partner United captain Harry Maguire at the heart of the defence.

Star full-backs Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are likely to keep their places and complete Solskjaer's back four against Newcastle.
In the middle of the park, Fred could earn another start alongside Paul Pogba amid doubts over the fitness of Scott McTominay – who recently underwent surgery on a groin injury.
Bruno Fernandes should get the nod just ahead of them in a more advanced midfield position.

Ronaldo operated primarily out wide in his first stint at United but these days he is more of a centre-forward, meaning he is expected to be deployed at the pinpoint of Solskjaer's attack.
The Red Devils manager has a big decision to make in his wide areas, but it would be a surprise to see him leave out Mason Greenwood amid his strong start to the campaign.
