Manchester City ‘showing interest’ in Barcelona target Albert Sambi Lokonga… and could land Anderlecht starlet on a free transfer next summer

Manchester City are weighing up the possibility of a swoop for Albert Sambi Lokonga but will face a battle for his signature from Spanish sides including Barcelona.
The Anderlecht starlet has impressed for the Belgian side this term playing as a holding midfielder and is valued at around £4.5million.
However, he is out of contract in the summer and that has piqued the interest of many top sides including City and Barcelona who are also keeping tabs on the 19-year-old according to Marca.

City could open talks with Lokonga in January over arranging a free transfer next summer.
Sevilla have also entered the race to sign the Belgium Under-21 international.
But despite his contract running down, Lokonga has not ruled out staying at the Belgian side. Lokonga said: ‘My priority is to stay at Anderlecht for two more years.’
The Belgian’s form has been a bright point in what has otherwise been a miserable campaign so far for Anderlecht.
Under the management of former City captain and defender Vincent Kompany they reside 13th in the 16-team Belgian top flight.
Lokonga has been capped by Belgium at Under-21 level and is also interesting Barcelona
