Both City and Tottenham could be hampered by the state of the Wembley pitch on Monday night.
An NFL match was held there on Sunday as Philadelphia Eagles beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-18.
The third American football match in as many weeks has left the pitch in a state of disrepair ahead one of the standout matches of the season.
Wembley was also the venue for Anthony Joshua’s fight with Alexander Povetkin on September 22 and marks could be seen on the pitch when Tottenham faced Barcelona in the Champions League on October 3.

‘I’m pretty sure Tottenham have a good greenkeeper, I’m pretty sure the Premier League don’t like it. Tottenham too,’ Guardiola told the Manchester Evening News.
‘It’s not necessary to complain, we have to adapt quickly, try to figure it out, it will not be perfect but we have to adapt and play in that way.’
Tottenham can overtake City and move third in the Premier League with a victory on Monday.
