Liverpool kickstart their Champions League campaign by welcoming one of only two teams who have won the competition more than them – AC Milan – on Wednesday night. Express Sport looks at how Jurgen Klopp will likely set out his side following an impressive 3-0 triumph at Leeds United on Sunday.
Alisson kept his third clean sheet in four games this season at Elland Road and will be the first name on Klopp’s team-sheet for the visit of Milan.
In Liverpool’s last Champions League home game with fans, Adrian put on a disaster class as Atletico Madrid conquered Anfield to dump the then-defending champions out.
Alisson isn’t absent this time around and will start in between the sticks.

Defence: Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson
Trent Alexander-Arnold continued his rich vein of form against Leeds and provided an excellent assist for Mohamed Salah’s opener.
Virgil van Dijk should retain his place in the heart of the defence, but he could be alongside someone other than Joel Matip.
Many expect Klopp to hand Ibrahima Konate his first Liverpool start since his £36million move from RB Leipzig in the summer.
Andrew Robertson is a mainstay at left-back when fully fit, and it’d be very surprising to see him drop to the bench despite Kostas Tsimikas’ form.

Midfield: Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago
It was an incredible shame to see the mightily-talented teenager Harvey Elliott stretchered off at Elland Road on Sunday.
He’s enjoyed a bright start to the campaign and has undoubtedly earned the trust of Klopp, who will be forced into a midfield change on Wednesday.
Fabinho should keep his place as the single pivot, whilst Thiago will hope to build on his dominant display against Leeds.
Jordan Henderson replaced Elliott at the weekend and should start against Milan, reclaiming the captain’s armband from Van Dijk in the process.

Forwards: Salah, Mane, Jota
Salah joined the esteemed Premier League 100 club by scoring the opening goal against Leeds.
He’s expected to play another crucial role in Liverpool’s Champions League campaign and will start on the right against Milan.
Sadio Mane was frustrating to watch last time out as endless chances in front of goal went begging.
He finally found the net in the dying embers of the game, though, and the goal could boost his confidence for the stretch ahead.
Diogo Jota is set for his first Champions League appearance in front of the Anfield crowd, starting up front with Roberto Firmino still absent through injury.
