Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says the club are in the market for further signings after landing Wataru Endo from Stuttgart. The German boss has had to endure a rough week in the transfer market after key targets Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia opted to join rivals Chelsea.
Liverpool had agreed deals with Brighton and Southampton respectively for the midfield duo but now the Reds have been forced to think outside of the box.
Klopp insists that Endo has been on his radar for some time and that the Japan captain had already featured on his summer wish-list.
But he has also indicated that further midfield reinforcements could arrive before the September 1 transfer deadline.
When quizzed on whether there will be further transfer business, Klopp said: “The window is open. And until then pretty much anything can happen.
“On outgoing side, from my side, nothing will happen but I learned in this window a lot of things.
“Incoming, there is still time, so let’s have a look and that’s what we will do.”
