Italy maintained their 100 per cent record in World Cup qualification with a hard-fought 2-0 win at Lithuania on Wednesday night.
Substitute Stefano Sensi made an instant impact within two minutes of coming on in the second half as he fired the visitors in front with a low left-footed strike.
Ciro Immobile wrapped up the 2-0 scoreline in injury time from the penalty spot.
The win sees Italy go three points clear at the of top of Group C on nine points – although they’ve played a game more than Switzerland.
