Chelsea legend John Terry has singled out Thiago Silva for his Champions League victory over Juventus on Tuesday evening.
On a night where everything went right for the Blues, Thomas Tuchel's side secured their passage through to the last 16 of the competition with a 4-0 thumping over the Serie A giants.
Goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner emphasised their superiority over the Old Lady.
Though it wasn't any of the goal scorers who caught the eye of Terry.
The ex-Chelsea skipper took to Twitter after the game to praise the performance of fellow centre-back silva, with three blue love hearts and two claps used alongside the tweet.
He said: "This man. What a player."
Now 37-years-old, the Brazilian has been an influential player for Tuchel and Chelsea since arriving from Paris Saint Germain last summer.
And the veteran centre-back used all of his experience to deny Alvaro Morata an equalising goal on his return to Stamford Bridge.
Having taken the lead through Trevoh Chalobah's thunderous first-time strike, Silva was called into action to hook one off the line just moments later.
Is Thiago Silva the greatest Chelsea centre-back since John Terry? Let us know in the comments section.
Manuel Locatelli's dinked ball forward was latched onto by Morata who chipped Eduoard Mendy in the Chelsea goal.
But with the ball seemingly destined to cross the line, Silva managed to hook it clear from underneath the crossbar and keep their lead intact.
And it wasn't just Terry who was impressed by the Brazilian's showing, several fans replied to his tweet agreeing with their former captain.
