Mauricio Pochettino has “got to get out” of Paris Saint-Germain, according to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher. Pochettino is heavily linked with the Manchester United job and Carragher believes the Argentine should jump at the chance of a move to Old Trafford.
United are looking for a replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was sacked last weekend.
Pochettino is high on the list if they opt to bring in a permanent successor mid-season.
The former Tottenham boss saw his PSG side lose 2-1 to Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday.
PSG’s front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were criticised for their lack of defensive work rate at the Etihad.

And after the match, Carragher said the performance of those three should force Pochettino to want to quit as soon as possible.
“Pochettino’s got to get out of that club,” the pundit said on CBS Sports.
“If he’s got the chance to go to Manchester United, I’d be gone tomorrow.
“I honestly would and it would be because of those three stars.”

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry admits having a front three like PSG’s does not suit modern football.
Henry said: “I’ll tell you as an ex-striker, we said it at the very beginning, every time we talk about Paris Saint-Germain, even back home in France, they say that you cannot now in the modern game defend with seven players.
“It is impossible, I don’t care who you are.”
Earlier, Carragher had claimed United were not far behind rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
That is despite both clubs dishing out comprehensive defeats to the Red Devils in the last month.
“I think whether the Manchester United job is there or not for Pochettino, I don’t see Pochettino in Paris Saint-Germain next season,” Carragher added.
“I don’t think he’s 100 per cent enjoying it, and I’m only going off his quotes last week, just reading between the lines.
“And also that job as well, if he doesn’t win the Champions League or go close this season, they’re probably looking for another coach anyway.
“I think he would get at least this season and another two at Manchester United no matter what happens, he’d have money to spend, and I don’t care what anyone tells me, Manchester United have very good players and a good squad there.
“Not City or Liverpool just yet but it’s not that far behind and I don’t think it’s as big a job to get them to challenge for the title or the Champions League as maybe people think.
“And if I was him, and I had the opportunity, I would go for it.”
